Real Sociedad have fined both Juanito and Adriano Rossato ten days’ wages after a training ground bust-up that left the latter with a fractured cheekbone.
The pair came to blows during a training session at the beginning of December.
Sociedad have opted to punish both players and the pair have again apologised for their actions.
“It’s a decision by the club that I accept as I committed an error,” Juanito stated.
“You should never react like that and especially at a club where there is so much attention from the fans.”
Rossato added: “I am profoundly sorry for my reaction to the aggression. As a person, father and sportsman I am ashamed to see the images.”
