Juventus striker David Trezeguet has undergone surgery on both knees.

The surgery was undertaken to correct a niggling knee injury, which he aggravated in Juve's recent Champions League meeting with Zenit St Petersburg.

The injury is likely to sideline the former striker for up to four months.

"Trezeguet will be sidelined for 120 days and hence his expected return to the pitch should take place at the end of January," read a statement on the club's official website.
