Jean Tigana has played down reports that he is set to become the next Besiktas coach.

Reports in Turkey claim that Besiktas are looking to appoint the former Fulham manager as their new coach, following Riza Calimbay’s resignation.

Although he admits talking to Besiktas, Tigana suggested he is not looking for work.

“We’ve had talks but I’m not negotiating anything,” said Tigana.

“I’ve got enough problems at the moment with the tax people on my back since my run-in with Mohamed Al Fayed.”

Former France international midfielder Tigana has not had a coaching role since leaving Fulham in the spring of 2003.
