Spartak Moscow midfield player Yegor Titov has been handed a six-month domestic ban by the Football Union of Russia (RFS).

The suspension runs from 22 January-22 June, meaning that Titov will miss half of the Russian domestic season.

In January, Titov was banned from all UEFA competition matches for one year after testing positive – after the EURO 2004 qualifying play-off first leg against Wales – for the banned substance bromantan.
