Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to agree terms on a permanent deal with on-loan Egypt striker Mido.

Jol said: “I still feel that Mido wants to stay here and he likes it here so it’s a matter of negotiating. He has got the right to talk to other clubs because he’s on loan and we are talking to him as well.”

Mido joined Tottenham on an 18-month loan deal from Roma that expires at the end of this season.

“He knows what we think of him and I know what he wants so there’s no problem,”added Jol.

“He can always make a decision. We’re talking to him so of course it’s about money.”

Jol said that if Spurs agreed personal terms with Mido they would still have to negotiate a transfer fee with Roma.
