Roma captain Francesco Totti has confirmed he intends to extend his deal with the Giallorossi until 2014.
His current contract expires in 2011 but he has stated that he will continue to play until he is 38.
“My contract expires in 2011 but I intend to ask for a renewal for another two or three years,” Totti said.
“I feel good, I still enjoy myself, I can continue for a long time. Why quit so early?
“As long as my body and physical condition will sustain me, I will keep playing.
“Then, when I quit I will have to see. I’ll remain in football as an official but not as a coach, it’s not part of my DNA.”
