German defender Tobias Rau has completed a move from Bayern Munich to Arminia Bielefeld after failing to win a regular place at Bayern. German international Rau, who signed a two-year contract with Bielefeld, moved to Bayern from Wolfsburg in 2003.

Bordeaux have signed Colombia striker Edixon Perea from Atletico Nacional on a four-year deal. The French club also announced they have signed Argentinian midfielder Alejando Alonso from Atletico Huracan on a four-year contract.

Serbian striker Veljko Paunovic has signed a three-year deal with Getafe. The 27-year-old played in the Bundesliga with Hanover 96 for the second half of last season after being released from his contract with Atletico Madrid.

Fulham have brought Danish defender Niclas Jensen back to the Premier League after the 31-year-old left-back signed for an undisclosed fee from Borussia Dortmund. Jensen was at Manchester City from January 2002 until last summer.

Australian international striker John Aloisi has signed a two-year contract for newly-promoted Primera Division side Alaves. The 29-year-old, who was available on a free transfer from Osasuna, had been close to signing a three-year deal with Panathinaikos but problems with a knee injury prompted the Greek side to offer him a shorter deal which he rejected.

Benfica have signed defender Leo from Brazilian club Santos on a three-year deal.

Stuttgart have signed Denmark striker Jon Dahl Tomasson on a four-year contract from Milan. Tomasson had also been in discussions with Benfica about a possible move.

Israel midfielder Yossi Benayoun has joined newly-promoted West Ham from Racing Santander for a fee of £2.5m. His four-year deSevilla have signed Italian midfielder Enzo Maresca on a four-year deal from Juventus. Sevilla paid 2.5 million euros (£1.8m) for the 25-year-old, who played on loan at Fiorentina last season.al is subject to a work permit.

Le Havre defensive midfielder Lassana Diarra has joined Chelsea for a fee in the region of £3m. “Everything went smoothly with Jose Mourinho. He told me he wanted me to be the next Claude Makelele,” Diarra said.
