Amara Traore has been named as the new coach of the Senegal national side.
The 44-year-old former international striker has been in charge of first division outfit ASC Linguere de St-Louis since 2007.
He led them to the league title this season, helping to enhance reputation.
Traore has now been charged with the task of guiding Senegal to the 2012 African Cup of Nations and Olympic Games.
