Former Deportivo Coruna striker Diego Tristan has agreed a move to Real Mallorca.

“Mallorca have reached an agreement with Tristan that will see the player return for his second spell at the club,” Mallorca said on their Web site.

The 30-year-old former Spanish international negotiated a release from his contract with Depor at the end of August after being told he was no longer part of Joaquin Caparros’s plans.

Tristan played for Mallorca between 1998 and 2000, and ended up as the club’s leading scorer with 18 goals in the 1999-2000 season.

His performances earned him a move to Deportivo and in 2002 helped them win the King’s Cup, and ended the season as the Primera Liga’s top scorer with 21 goals.
