Valencia president Juan Soler has again offered his support to beleaguered coach Claudio Ranieri.

The Italian is under increasing pressure after presiding over a run of ten games without a win.

The 0-0 draw at home to Real Zaragoza at the weekend Valencia drop to 7th place in La Liga, ten points off leaders Barcelona.

The club have also crashed out of the Copa del Rey to Lleida and look unlikely to qualify from their UEFA Champions League group.

But, Soler has no plans to sack the former Chelsea boss, who returned to the club in the summer to replace Rafa Benitez.

“I have never questioned Ranieri,” affirmed Soler.

“I don’t like to ratify people in their positions but we have never questioned Ranieri’s work.”
