Valencia have added two new faces to their squad as they look to get back on track after a disappointing season which saw them relinquish their league title with barely a whimper.

Spanish international striker David Villa and Uruguay international midfielder Mario Regueiro are the latest additions, followeing the earlier arrivals of Brazilian Edu and Dutch striker Patrick Kluivert.

Valencia paid €12m to Real Zaragoza for Villa, but obtained Regueiro from Racing Santander on a free transfer.

The club are also interested in signing Bayern Munich’s French defender Willy Sagnol, according to reports.
