With Carlos Tevez signed and Emmanuel Adebayor looking a certain for Eastlands, Manchester City have been cut again to break the hallowed big 4 in 2009/10 – do you think they can do it?

Valencia president Manuel Llorente has claimed the club have turned down another offer from Barcelona for David Villa.

Barca have long been linked the Spain striker but have yet to come up with the “scandalous” offer Llorente has demanded.

Llorente has claimed his Barca counterpart Joan Laporta submitted another bid on Wednesday night, reported to be €42million.

“Laporta called me and I repeated to him that we are not willing to sell the footballer,” Llorente told AS.

It is suggested in Spain that Villa himself is ready to pay the €7million difference between Barca’s bid and the €50million Valencia want in order to secure a move to the Camp Nou.
