Deportivo La Coruna’s Juan Carlos Valeron refuses to give up hope of playing again, despite being absent from football with knee trouble for almost 18 months.
The 32-year-old has suffered two cruciate ligament injuries, and underwent a third operation on his injured knee in April. But Valeron remains optimistic, and while he could not provide a date for his return to football, he believes it will not be far off.
“The recuperation has been perfect, and that is the best news for me at the moment,” Valeron said.
“It is still not possible to give a date for my return to first-team action, but I am totally convinced that I will return to football.”
