Mark van Bommel has played down reports linking him with a possible move to Bayern Munich, claiming e is content to stay in Barcelona.

Bayern coach Felix Magath revealed his admiration for van Bommel earlier this week and admitted that he saw him as a potential replacement for Michael Ballack who is expected to quit the club in the summer, but the Dutch midfielder is keen to stay at Camp Nou.

“I am happy here,” van Bommel told El Mundo Deportivo.

“I have a contract until 2008 and am not thinking about leaving.”

Van Bommel also denied reports that he talked with Dutch international team-mate Roy Makaay about moving to Germany.

“He is a friend of mine and I often speak to him, but I have not talked to him about going to Bayern,” added van Bommel.
