Bayern Munich captain Mark van Bommel has been recalled to the Holland squad for a friendly international match against Russia next Wednesday in Moscow.

New coach Bert van Marwijk named an 19-men squad on Friday and included Van Bommel, his son-in-law, who played his last match for the Dutch team during the 2006 World Cup finals.

Previous coach Marco van Basten dropped Van Bommel, and when he recalled him months later, the midfielder announced that he would no longer be available for selection while Van Basten was in charge.
