Andy van der Meyde’s proposed £2m move from Inter to Everton is in jeopardy because he has a groin injury.
The 25-year-old has agreed personal terms but reports claim he could be out of action for up to three weeks because of the injury. Everton may demand a second medical before proceeding with the deal.
If David Moyes does decide to sign him, he will become Everton’s eighth signing of the close-season.
