Inter look set to enter into negotiations with Chelsea over the permanent transfer of Juan Sebastian Veron.

The Chelsea midfielder is on loan at the San Siro until June. Veron, who has struggled to adapt to life in the Premiership with both Manchester United and Chelsea, could be offered a contract with the Nerazzurri to run until 2008, provided talks with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich conclude satisfactorily.

Inter coach Roberto Mancini is a big fan of the Argentinean but fitness problems have hampered his time at Inter. Despite this, club owner Massimo Moratti has seen enough to be convinced to sign the playmaker on a full time deal and talks are scheduled to take place before the weekend.
