Aston Villa have agreed a fee to buy Cameroon international Eric Djemba-Djemba from Manchester United.
The 23-year-old midfielder is due at Villa Park later on Monday for a medical.
Djemba-Djemba joined United from French club Nantes for £3.5m in July 2003 but has struggled to break into the first team.
He made only 20 Premier League appearances for United, seven as a substitute.
