Wilfred Bouma has completed a £3.5m move to Aston Villa from PSV Eindhoven.
The 27-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Premiership club .
“The manager David O’Leary was a massive reason for me signing for Villa,” said Bouma.
“He made it clear that he believes in me and my ability.
“That gives me confidence and that’s important for me.
“I had a good feeling about Villa – they have a history of being a big club and the people I have spoken to from the club were all very helpful. that’s why I chose Aston Villa.”
