Having completed the signing of River Plate striker Marco Ruben, Villarreal have decided to loan him out to Recreativo Huelva for the rest of the season.
Ruben has signed a five-and-a-half year deal with Villarreal, but the club feel the 21-year-old would benefit from spending the remainder of the season with Recreativo.
“Marco Gaston Ruben Rodriguez has signed for this season and five more years,” read an official statement.
“The player will be loaned to Recreativo Huelva until June 30, 2008.”
It is thought the deal has cost Villarreal in the region of €4.78million.
