Werder Bremen have admitted they are interested in signing Norwegian striker John Carew from Lyon.
“He’s one of the players we’re interested in,” Werder manager Klaus Allofs revealed. “The transfer conditions would have to be right.”
Werder lead the Bundesliga on goal difference from Schalke 04 at the midway point of the season.
Carew became a target amid undertainty over the future of leading scorer Miroslav Klose, who is interested in a move abroad.
