West Ham have completed the signing of Swiss international Valon Behrami on a five-year deal.
Behrami, who can play in midfield or defence, joins from Lazio for a fee of £5million.
“I am very happy to be able to sign for West Ham,” Behrami told the club’s official website.
“For me it is a dream come true to play for the club and in the Premier League.
“I am very much looking forward to becoming part of the team here.”
Behrami started all three of Switzerland’s matches at Euro 2008 and has made 15 appearances in total for his country.
