Sylvain Wiltord, who will leave Highbury on a free transfer in the summer, has been involved in talks with German champions Werder Bremen about a possible move.

The French international striker failed to agree a new deal at Highbury and will become a free agent in June when his contract ends.

Wiltord has held talks with Werder Bremen, but no deal has been confirmed.

Bremen director of sport Klaus Allofs said: “There is a lot of interest in the move from both sides.”

Meanwhile Arsenal boss Wenger admitted that he had no idea whether Nigerian international Kanu would be at Highbury next season..

“I haven’t decided on Kanu and he hasn’t decided yet,’ said Wenger.

“He is free to go where he wants as he is out of contract this summer and I have no final say to that.”
