Wisla Krakow have fired former Romanian international Dan Petrescu as coach, citing a failure to deliver results just a month into the new season.
Wisla lie second in the league after seven games but struggled to a draw against struggling Gornik Leczna on Saturday and look set for elimination from the UEFA Cup after a home defeat last week.
“The board has decided to dismiss Petrescu with immediate effect,” deputy chairman Jerzy Jurczynski told Reuters.
“Our motivation is the poor results at the start of the season.”
