World champions Spain will be based at the Alfredo Gottardi 'Caju' training centre, a luxurious sports complex in the city of Curitiba which is home to Atletico Paranaense.
The facilities include eight full-size football pitches, a thermal swimming pool and gym. The Spanish opted for the milder climate in Curitiba after contending with high temperatures further north during the Confederations Cup.
Their first game, a repeat of the 2010 final against Holland, is in Salvador. This is a two hour 15 minute flight from Curitiba and a distance of 1,111 miles.
They follow that with a game against Chile in Rio de Janeiro, a short 50 minute flight for the 420 miles.
Their final group game is even closer, in Curitiba itself, against Australia. Spain will travel the short 10 mile distance by coach to get there.
