Goalkeeper Richard Wright, who spent the last 24 hours pondering a transfer from Arsenal to Everton, has finally agreed to the move and is expected to be unveiled at a press conference at Goodison Park tomorrow.

The 24-year-old England international will put pen to paper tomorrow morninng before joining his new team-mates on their pre-season tour in Scotland.

“We’re delighted that Richard has agreed to join,’ said Everton’s chief Executive Michael Dunford. ‘And when everything is complete, he will travel to Scotland to join up with the first team squad.”

Arsenal will receive £3.5 million for a player who cost them £6 million, 12 months ago, when he joined from Ipswich. Everton will pay the Gunners an additional £1 million when he has made a certain number of appearances for his new club.
