Zinedine Zidane has decided to play for France again, the midfielder has confirmed.

The Real Madrid player announced his retirement from international football after Euro 2004, but after speaking to French coach Raymond Domenech, Zidane has decided to return to the inetrnational fold.

“(France coach) Raymond Domenech came to see me two or three times in Madrid and he told me what he expected from me,” Zidane said on his personal website.

The 33-year-old has won 93 caps, scoring 26 goals for France. He was instrumental in his country’s World Cup success in 1998 and in their European championship triumph in 2000.
