Bordeaux chairman Jean-Louis Triaud has played down speculation linking Marouane Chamakh with a move to Arsenal.
The Gunners are reported to be weighing up a €6millionbid for the Morocco international, who is seen as a possible replacement for Emmanuel Adebayor, should the Togo international complete his move to Manchester City.
“Arsene Wenger hasn’t called me to say he is interested in signing Chamakh,” Triaud told France Football.
“Who has talked about Chamakh going to Arsenal? Journalists. These are just stories without foundation.”
