Aarau have apppointed Urs Schonenberger as their new coach, following the departure of Alain Geiger after just four-and-a-half months in charge.
The 47-year-old Schonenberger, the man who guided FC Thun to a first Champions League campaign, will finish the season by trying to preserve Aarau’s top flight status.
Sunday’s 2-0 reverse at relegation rivals Neuchatel Xamax was their sixth defeat in a row, and with three matches to play, Aarau and Xamax are level on 30 points, two points from safety.
