Bayern Munich executive manager Uli Hoeness is confident his team will beat Anderlecht on Wednesday and make it through to the knockout stagesof the Champions League.

Bayernm currently bottom of Group A, run the risk of going out of the Champions League after the opening stage for the second consecutive year.

“It will be tough but we will make it,” Hoeness told reporters on Monday.

Bayern have to win their final group game on Wednesday to progress to the knockout phase of the competition.

Club captain Oliver Kahn admitted that the weight of expectation on the team was enormous.

“The pressure is enormous,” said goalkeeper and captain Oliver Kahn.

“But if we show the same will as against Werder (with whom Bayern drew -1 at the weekend) we will beat Anderlecht.”
