Auxerre attacker Valter Birsa has played speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool.
The 24-year-old Slovenia international has reportedly impressed Reds manager Roy Hodgson, but Birsa insist he is ignoring the transfer speculation.
“Much has been written about this, but I’m not being burdened by it,” he said.
“I have my agents and representatives who deal with all this for me.
“If at the end of the day something happens I guess that everything will go much quicker than these rumours, which have been dragging in the papers for a while now.”
Birsa spent three years at Sochaux between 2006 and 2009 before switching to Auxerre after a successful loan spell.
