Cagliari have sacked coach Marco Giampaolo.
Cagliari have won just two games all season and Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Udinese was the final straw for the Cagliari board.
Giampaolo is the third coach to lose his job in Serie A this season following the departures of Attilio Tesser at Ascoli and Bepi Pillon at Chievo.
“It’s a decision I have been obliged to take,” Cagliari president Massimo Cellino said. “The team gave signals of suffering.
“It’s more a political than technical decision.
“I consider Giampaolo’s sacking my personal loss and I suffer it in a really heavy way.”
