Juventus v Maccabi Tel-Aviv
High-flying Juventus are in cautious mood ahead of their first tie against Israeli opposition Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the Delle Alpi.

“It would be a grave mistake to think we can score a couple of early goals and wrap up the match by half time.” said Juve coach Fabio Capello.

The former Roma manager has pioneered an impressive start to the season in all competitions with the goal scored by Palermo at the weekend the first defensive trio Buffon, Thuram and Cannavaro (all formerly of Parma) have conceded in the league this season.

Maccabi coach Nir Klinger was enthused by his team’s performance against Bayern.

“There is no doubt that Juve are the favourites but we believe that we can play positive football at this level.”

Ibrahimovich and Trezequet are expected to start the match, the two combined well to earn a draw with Palermo at the weekend. Czech midfielder Pavel Nedved and central defender Fabio Cannavaro remain doubts.
