England head to Kazakhstan this Saturday for a World Cup Qualifier knowing that the one and only time they met before the Three Lions won 5-1.

Chelsea have made a £73.5million bid for Milan playmaker Kaka, according to Sky Sports News.

The Brazilian was targeted by Manchester City in the January transfer window but elected to remain with the Serie A outfit.

Kaka spoke earlier this week about his desire to stay at San Siro, but further speculation emerged that Real Madrid were planning a swoop following Florentino Perez’s appointment as president.

And Sky Sports News sources now claim that Chelsea have submitted a bid which eclipses the reported offer of £56million from Madrid.

Former Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti was installed as the new Blues manager on Monday and he could now be set to link up again with Kaka.

Chelsea’s £73.5million bid is reported to be backed up by an offer of £10million-a-year in wages in a bid to lure the former World Player of the Year to Stamford Bridge.
