Hector CuperÊhas refused to comment on speculation that he is being lined up for a return to Internazionale.

It has been reported in Italy I that Cuper – sacked by Inter earlier this season – could be asked to come back to the club because his replacement Alberto Zaccheroni has failed to imporve the club’s fortunes.

But CuperÊrefused to confirm whether there was any substance to the reports.

“I know you are here to ask me about Inter, but I can’t talk. You have to understand me,” said Cuper.

“It’s a delicate moment, and if I talk to you then it will get me in trouble.

“I can’t say anything and I haven’t spoken to the president (Massimo Moratti). I cannot talk about the speculation.

“I don’t want to talk about other people’s opinions. I have my own and I keep them to myself.

“It is a matter of respect to the people I work for. Inter are still in my heart and I still love them.

“Don’t let me say anything more – it wouldn’t be right.”
