Arsenal striker Eduardo says he does not know when he will return to action.

The 25-year-old suffered a fractured left fibula and an open dislocation of his left ankle after a tackle by Birmingham’s Martin Taylor last month.

“I am walking on crutches but I am feeling well, there is no pain,” he told Jutarnji List.

“Some say the recovery will take half a year, some say I’ll be playing in nine months, others say 15 months.”

Eduardo also revealed he will not be fit in time for Croatia’s World Cup qualifier against England at Wembley on 10 September.

“That would be too soon. Yes, I will play against England but in the return game in September 2009,” he added.

Eduardo will have his leg in plaster for the next six to eight weeks before undergoing a lengthy rehabilitation programme.
