Hertha Berlin defender Gilberto has seen his proposed move to Tottenham collapse after the Brazilian failed a medical.
Both clubs had agreed a fee for the 31-year-old, but Sunday’s medical examination meant the deal fell through and the 27-time capped Brazilian will return to Germany.
According to reports in the German press, Spurs had been willing to pay €2.6 million for Gilberto.
