Thierry Henry has confirmed he will not play for France in the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Ukraine and Georgia in June.

The striker was ruled out for the rest of Arsenal’s Premiership campaign after damaging groin and stomach muscles, and he has confirmed that he will miss the summer internationals.

“I won’t play again until the end of the season, that is absolutely sure,” he said.

Henry watched France beat Austria 1-0 in an international friendly on Wednesday, and he was impressed with the performance of Raymond Domenech’s young side.

He was particularly pleased to see Arsenal team-mate Abou Diaby make his full international debut.

“That kind of match against a very defensive team is never easy,” he told TF1.

“Seeing youngsters in the French squad makes me happy. They are going to push us out.

“I also came to support young Abou Diaby.”
