Spanish winger Joaquin has admitted he is set to leave Real Betis this summer.

The 24-year-old has been with Betis his entire career, but he admits he is now looking for a fresh challenge.

“Yes, I am open to everything,” he said. “I have spent many years at Betis and it’s obvious that I am keen to live new experiences.

“Maybe it’s time to change my life a little in terms of the footballing aspect.

“It’s possible my time at Betis has come to an end and the club need to sell me to strengthen the team with the money they will get for me.

“It’s clear that I’ll have to look at all the options because I have been here for five seasons in the first team, during which time I have achieved important things, but, at times, I feel that I need to change objectives to continue growing.”

Several clubs including Chelsea and Real Madrid have been linked with the player and Joaquin admits he would be happy to move abroad.

“If I got an opportunity to to see what it’s like to play this sport abroad, I would be prepared to take that step and try my luck in another country,” he explained.

“I would not be the first or the last to do it.”
