Juninho has admitted he is growing increasingly frustrated at not being a regular with Celtic.

“Every player is happy if they are playing and the feeling I have now is the way anyone not playing would feel,” the Brazilian told the Daily Record.

“All I can do is wait for my chance and try to prove my value and get back in the team.

“It is very frustrating for me but I have to learn this lesson.”

The 31-year-old joined Celtic from Middlesbrough in the summer but has been a peripheral figure since his arrival.

“I need Celtic and the people here to trust me again,” added Juninho.

“They have lost confidence in me. I need to recover that trust and the most important man to convince is the man who chooses who plays.

“I will just concentrate on getting the confidence but not mine – my belief is still there.”
