Wolfsburg have agreed a deal to sign Monaco striker Dieumerci Mbokani on loan until the end of the season.
“Dieumerci Mbokani will be joining VfL Wolfsburg,” the club’s general manager Marc Keller told Allgemeine Zeitung.
“He has already travelled to the club.”
Mbokani acknowledged his time in France with Monaco was not a big success and he is hoping to make an impact in the Bundesliga.
“To be honest, I am flattered to be playing in the German league,” Mbokani told skysports.com.
“It is a tough league and I hope to make a name for myself in the Bundesliga.
“Monaco did not work out for me, but that is life.”
