Milan defender Alessandro Nesta has confirmed he would like to finish his career at Milan.
The Italian has been the subject of transfer speculation in recent with several reports claiming he was keen on a return to Lazio.
Nesta, though, insists he is keen to extend his existing deal at Milan – which is set to expire in 2008.
“The club would probably like to know in what condition I am in, but I have faith,” said Nesta.
“I want to return to playing and end my career here.
“I don’t know how many years I could play, but all the years I can, I want to play them here.
“When I feel good, we will sit around a table and we will talk about the contract.
“Rome is my home, but there is not the premise to come back.”
