Spain beat Germany 1-0 to win Euro 2008, but what price are they to go on and become World Champions in South Africa in 2010?

Newly promoted Bundesliga side Cologne have signed Nigeria striker Manaseh Ishiaku on a four-year contract.

Ishiaku’s future had been uncertain following Duisberg’s relegation at the end of last season and was linked with a number of clubs, including Turkish champions Galatasaray.

Ishiaku scored 10 goals in 25 appearances for Duisburg last season despite being troubled by injury. He previously played in Belgium for La Louviere and Club Brugge.

“I had a good feeling about Cologne,” said Ishiaku. “I’ve had a season already in Germany and I think it will be better to improve further here, but this is a step up for me.”

Last week, Cologne were linked with a move for their former striker Lukas Podolski, but Bayern Munich were quick to deny any deal for Podolski, who played for Cologne between 2003 and 2006.
