Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri, who is widely expected to be sacked at the end of the season, believes he deserved more time to develop the team.

Ranieri expects to be replaced by Porto coach Jose Mourinho in the close season .

“I think I’ve done a very good job here. The plan is good,” Ranieri said ahead of the Premier League clash with Manchester United atthe weekend.

“The foundation is good. The spirit of the group is strong. I would like to finish my job,” he added.

A win over United will guarantee Chelsea runners-up spot in the Premmier League and automatic qualification for next season’s Champions League.
