The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) have confirmed that this weekend’s league programme will go ahead despite the terrorist tragedy in Madrid.

Spain has begun three days of moruning as a mark of respect for the 198 people who died in yesterday’s bomb attacks. But the RFEF and League Association (LFP) feel that this weekend’s programme should proceed as planned.

“There will be a minute’s silence before the start of all games, and players will wear an armband as a sign of respect and mourning,” a RFEF spokesman stated. Ê
