Valencia insist they are not looking to sell Juan Mata amid fresh speculation linking him with a move to Manchester City.

Spanish media reports suggest that Roberto Mancini is looking to reunite Mata with his former Valencia team-mate David Silva, who moved to Eastlands last summer.

But Valencia president Manuel Llorente has made it clear he is not looking to sell – having been forced to sell David Villa and Silva last year.

“The kid is un-negotiable because he is a key man in our project,” Llorente told Provincias.

The player’s agent and father, also named Juan, insists he has not had any contact with City.

“I have not spoken with City,” he told skysports.com.
