Valencia still hopeful on Simao

Valencia are still hoping to sign Benfica’s Portuguese winger Simao Sabrosa, despite failing to clinch a deal with the player at the weekend.

Simao arrived in Valencia on Saturday but flew back to Lisbon the following day after failing to reach an agreement.

“In reaction to reports published recently Valencia continue to maintain good relations with Benfica president Luis Felipe Vieira and the player’s representative,” Valencia said on the club’s websitey.

“The club are continuing in their efforts to sign the player.”
