Everton defender Phil Jagielka was robbed at knifepoint by three intruders in his Cheshire house on Wednesday night. Intruders made off with jewellery and the keys to his Range Rover, which was found abandoned a short distance away.
Jagielka joins an ever growing list of Everton and Liverpool players who have been burgled in recent years, including Jerzy Dudek, Pepe Reina, Andy Van Der Meyde, Dirk Kuyt, Steven Pienaar, Lucas, Peter Crouch and Steven Gerrard.

The Swedish FA will most likely charge IFK Goteborg keeper Kim Christensen after being caught literally moving the goalposts during Wednesday’s mach against Orebro. TV footage showed Christensen kicking the posts to make the goal smaller.
Fortunately the referee noticed and held up play whilst the goal was returned to normal size. Typically, the matched finished 0-0.
