Barcelona president Joan Laporta is adamant that Samuel Eto’o is not for sale.

Reports in Italy suggest that Milan were set to launch a bid to prise the striker from Camp Nou.

But Laporta insists the Cameroon striker and Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho, another player to have been linked with a move to Italy, would be staying at the club.

“Samuel Eto’o is not for sale,” explained Laporta.

“Samuel is ready to go back to training and is looking forward to starting a new season and cannot wait to play with Henry, Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi.

“The club’s fans are excited about the prospect of seeing the four forwards we have and neither Eto’o nor Ronaldinho will be involved in any transfer.”
