Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o has agreed a new double-your-money contract extension which will keep him at the Spanish league champions until 2010.

The new deal will see him earn a reported €4.6m, and includes a €150m sell-on clause.

Wto’o had been linked with a move away from Barcelona, but club chairman Joan Laporta insistedthat Barca would not sell the forward for “all the money in the world”.

Laporta, celebrating his birthday, lauded the news as “the best possible present,” while Eto’o said that next season “the most important thing is to win the next Champions League.”
